The Crown Jewel Of Florida

A short trip up from Marco brings you to Naples, the "crown jewel" of Southwest Florida. Nestled on the sun drenched beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, Naples is known for world class shopping, dining and abundant, challenging golf courses. It is only steps away from island seclusion or the untamed tropical wilderness of The Everglades.

Shopping is a favorite pastime in Naples. Visit the upscale shops of Old Naples located on 5th Avenue and 3rd Street South. Newer additions are the Waterside Shops, The Village on Venetian Bay, Coastland Mall, and Bayfront.

Things to See and Do

Naples is one of the most sought-after tropical locations in the U.S. It is easy to see why, with its white sandy beaches, wide variety of shops and businesses, and outdoor activities galore. It also boasts an incredible art scene and charity events to keep anyone busy. Many people ultimately return later to make Naples, Florida their home.

A wonderful tour to take advantage of, "Nature Tours", explores the uninhabited islands of the Everglades and the Ten Thousand Islands. Be sure to not worry about getting wet, as this tour is rendered by canoe or kayak and travels through such scenes as mangrove tunnels, sawgrass prairies and alongside dolphins, manatee and birds. Also, watch for the "crocs" in the ecosystems of the Everglades Backcountry.

"See Manatees" is an adventurous way to get the family stoked about nature in the Everglades with a 1.5 hour private boat trip into the manatee hideaways. These excursions are by appointment only and hold a maximum of 6 passengers, allowing you a unique opportunity with these remarkable creatures. If you are of the rare unfortunates, and do not spot a manatee, your entire trip is free!
