Dear Member,
We are celebrating Marinalife’s 10th anniversary this February! I find this hard to believe, but it is true – 10 years ago Marinalife started with the simple concept of developing a Web site that would make it easy to find marinas and make a marina reserva- tion in one central location. This simple concept has continued to evolve and now Marinalife offers the boating community the most comprehensive Web site for marina information and travel tools, and the leading magazine focused on the cruising lifestyle.
As I reflect on the last 10 years, I keep coming back to how critical our relationships with marinas, members, and the industr y have been in shaping the Marinalife of today. Partnerships of all varieties have been our key to growth and have helped us expand quickly during these last 10 years. Our loyal customer base is evidence that our belief and practice of offering the ver y best in customer ser vice has set us apart from other companies.
So, as I sit here writing this and reflect on the accomplishments of the Marinalife team, I want to thank the many marinas, boaters, and industry partners that have stood by us these last 10 years.
This issue of the Marinalife Magazine is dedicated to Marinalife’s 10 year anniversary and includes a feature story about the past, present, and future of the company. It is also filled with more exciting stories than ever before and spans the coasts from the Gulf Coast to the East Coast and off-shore to the Bahamas. For many of our readers Winter is a time to plan and dream about summer cruises. With more and more resources available on www.marinalife.com, including archived magazine articles, you will have a lot of reading material as you sit by the fire to plan your summer adventures. For others who are in the midst of active cruising in warmer climates, we are excited to bring you ideas for your weekend trips or longer sojourns. Don’t miss in this issue about the endless options in vibrant Miami or quieter locales such as Apalachicola.
Marinalife has many exciting things planned for 2010. Adding new content such as long-term dockage listings to the Marinalife Web site and enhancing the cruise itineraries are a few things planned for 2010. We want to hear from you about what you want added to the Marinalife Web site and ideas for future magazine articles. Lastly, please enter the Marinalife 10th Anniversary Best Marina Contest and tell us about your favorite marina and why it ’s your favorite – e-mail info@marinalife.com with your vote. We look for ward to a 2010 filled with health, happiness and calm seas.
