A cruiser's bonanza, Enoteca, an Italian-style grocer, recently opened in the old Frisbee's space. Owned by Chris Souder, a former sommelier, it stocks an impressive wine and beer selection to match the fine hand-made cheeses, pastries and prepared dishes - fresh local produce, too. The original 1680 Frisbee's building (for years Cap'n Simeon's Galley), is now occupied by Captain and Patty's offering down-home Italian with typical Maine decor and spectacular views. Captain & Patty's also offers 80-minute historical Piscataqua River Tours; Capt. Neill Odams spins tales of the area's early days. Stroll Kittery's cobbled lanes lined with charming old homes, including privately owned Lady Pepperell's Mansion - an example of early American Palladian-style architecture. Fort McClary State Park makes a good picnic destination or dinghy/walk a mile up tidal Chauncey Creek to the Lobster Pier for crustaceans in the rough.
