Coasting across the Peconic Bay, Greenport's lively harbor welcomes you. Reserve a slip in the heart of the village at Mitchell Park Marina, which offers transient dockage with all the amenities. Right off the dock, you'll find marine and fishing provisions as well as delicious food, a variety of shops, galleries, museums and activities. Greenport's marinas are just steps away from frequent transportation into New York City, the lush vineyards of the North Fork, as well as ferry service to Connecticut's casinos. From the mid-channel buoy(RW "N", MO "A") in Gardiner's Bay, head WNW to the Shelter Island North Channel buoy R"2". Continue north keeping "Bug Light" to starboard. After passing "Bug Light", head in a WNW direction keeping Shelter Island Hay Beach G"7" to port, giving it a wide berth; Hay Beach bar shoals out to the buoy and people have been caught up on it. From here you are now heading in towards Greenport Harbor. Ahead to Starboard is the flashing red light--R"8A"--at the end of the Greeneport breakwater. Continue in a westerly direction until you see an old shispyard with a statue of an Osprey on your starboard side, Preston's marine supply store and Claudio's Restaurant. We are located just past Claudio's. Please keep an eye out for ferry traffic here as they are entering and leaving their berth next to the marina. Always remeber to consult your chart before entering the harbor. We monitor chanel 11 on the VHF. Have an enjoyable trip!
