The eye-catching scenery here includes, from time to time, some world-class yachts; truly magnificent sights, especially when they are dry-docked. Across the street is Dolphin & the Mermaid gallery. Tubby's, a favorite local restaurant with an outdoor deck, is an easy walk - as is River Supply chandlery and a local shrimper. One block is CatchaCat public bus to Savannah's famous historic district (catchacat.org or 233-5767 for schedules).
TMI is an easy approach either through Wassaw Sound (with no overhead height restrictions) and up the Wilmington River or through Savannah River entrance and down the ICW (65ft overhead height restriction). There is a mean river depth at low water of 12ft (3.7m). The basin in the yard is dredged to 14ft (4.3m), has ample room to maneuver and can accommodate vessels up to 200ft in length.
