The Downtown Marina of Beaufort is located on the ICW in the heart of one of South Carolina's oldest & most beautiful cities. Beaufort is a lovely, deep-south city where gracious, well-kept antebellum homes line the streets overlooking the marina. Also adjacent to our lovely park setting are restaurants, B&B's, motels & shopping in the historic business district. The marina offers a well-stocked ship's store as well as showers & laundry facilities.

On the National Register of Historic Places, charming Beaufort is the quintessential southern town. Hollywood has taken note! Almost fifty restored historic homes and buildings are an easy walk or ride. Take a 26-stop self-guided walking tour or an organized one that leaves from the marina - including the 1805 Mark Verdier House, 1724 St.Helena Episcopal Church - and filming locations for Forrest Gump, The Big Chill (Tidalholm House), Prince of Tides, Great Santini. Less than 300 yards, a variety of local upscale shops, galleries, exquisite inns and a couple dozen eateries line Bay Street - some back up on the park with waterview decks and patios. Art galleries abound as do antique shops; within a mile are Bellavista, Consignors' Mall & Michael Raineys. Our favorite stop.
