Adjacent is The Cat, a high-speed ferry to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. The College of the Atlantic's waterfront campus is 0.1 mi. - a perfect strolling/picnicking destination. Its Natural History Museum is housed in the original Acadia Nat'l Park headquarters. COA is also home to the Allied Whale Marine Mammal Lab. Directions by Water
Head westerly through Bar Harbor following the channel that crosses close to the end of the large granite pier. The marina will be directly ahead of you along the side of the Tudor style Harborside Hotel. Three finger floats a face dock and a T dock should be visible. There is about a 6.5' depth at the end of the granite town pier at low water.
