The good-sized, sparkling pool and surrounding sundeck are populated with strap chairs and chaises; five steps up is a generous second sundeck which affords a truly spectacular view of the harbor and the boat traffic on the river and creek. Just up the road, stretched along The Strand, is the town beach. Some of the boats anchored in the harbor beach their dinghies here; others launch their kayaks. Sweet, charming, affluent Oxford village is about half-mile along North Morris Street.
From the Chesapeake Bay, enter the Choptank River and proceed to the Tred Avon River. The town of Oxford will become visible to starboard. Continue heading north, then northeast passing the Tred Avon Yacht Club, the Oxford Bellevue Ferry and the town's public beach. Oxford Boatyard is located just inside Town Creek, next to the water tower and opposite daymark "7". We monitor channels 16 and 9.
