The Aspen Yacht Club was started in 1968 for the purpose of promoting the development of sailing. The club is located at beautiful Ruedi Reservoir, up the Frying Pan River, approximately 18 miles East of Basalt, Colorado. The club is a nonprofit, section 501(c)(7) organization with about 80 memberships.Perhaps the best asset of the club is there is no electricity, running water, or cell service, so members can truly enjoy spending quality time sailing during the summer months in the Colorado Rocky Mountains!
