The Port of Everett is a natural deep-water port located 25 miles north of Seattle and 90 miles south of Vancouver, B.C. on the Puget Sound. The Port's mission is to "Responsibly Grow the Economy to Enhance the Quality of Life in the Region." It is governed by Port Commissioners Mark Wolken, Troy McClelland and Michael Hoffmann. The Marina Village at the south dock is home to several eateries, an inn, and a seasonal farmers' market. More services are to the east in the mall called Landing at Port Gardner. Special events include Waterfront Evening Concerts on Thu from Jul-Aug, Jetty Island Days Wed-Sun Jun-Sep, and Fresh Paint Artists Fest in mid Aug (425-257-8300). Museums are downtown - about 1.5 miles south, and the Boeing Tour Center is about 9 miles away.The Port of Everett also operates the largest marina on the West Coast with more than 2,300 recreational boating slips. In 2007, the Port opened a new, 220-slip marina that is adjacent to a planned mixed use development. The marina accommodates larger yacht-class vessels, with slips and end-ties up to 143 feet. The Port also provides numerous public access and recreational opportunities for Port District residents to enjoy.
